We are responsible for developing and maintaining the Public Rights of Way (PROW) network in the city. A PROW is a highway or footpath which the public has a right to use at any time.

The PROW network plays an important part in encouraging walking for leisure, and we intend to build on this to provide a fully accessible network for the people of Liverpool.

Our definitive map of PROW shows the routes of each individual public footpath in the city.  This map is a legal record of the public's rights and could be used as evidence if a path was illegally blocked.
