The 2001 Census was held on 29 April 2001.

The Census is a count of all people and homes in the UK. It provides essential statistical information, helping us to sort out the planning and funding of public services, including education, health and transport. Results also support research and business.

We can offer national figures as well as local ones.

A profile for Liverpool city-wide key statistics is now available to download.

2001 Census Profiles are now also available for each ward (the new wards which came into use from June 2004). Click any Ward from the list below to download its profile.
