Liverpool City Council as the admitting authority for Community and Controlled Church of England Schools is consulting on the proposed admission arrangements for September 2013.
For Academies, Trust, Foundation and Voluntary aided schools the admitting authority is the governing body. They can use these pages to consult but are not obliged to do so. If a particular school policy is not available on this site please contact the school directly.
Comments on the proposed admission arrangements for the academic year 2013/14 for Liverpool schools are invited from schools, admitting authorities, church authorities, neighbouring authorities, parents, community groups and other relevant persons with an interest in the proposed admissions.

The New Schools Admissions Code 2012 which comes into force on 1st February 2012 will apply to admission arrangements determined in 2012 for admission in school year 2013/14.
The Local Authority is consulting on a proposal to change the distance from home to school criterion, this is currently measured by the shortest walking route, it is proposed that this will be measured by straight line distance between the child’s permanent home address and the Community or Controlled Church of England school please, see Priority 5 of the Admission arrangements.

Please note: Broadgreen International School is also consulting on a proposal to change its existing admission arrangements by replacing Priority 4 of the current admission arrangements. This criterion states 'Pupils whose permanent residence (up to the date of allocation) is in the admission area for the school'. Applicants who would have been considered under the admission area criterion will be considered on a distance from home to school basis in the proposed admission arrangements.
Bellerive Catholic College is consulting on a proposal to add the following criteria to the school’s admission policy for September 2013. The College will admit up to 15 girls on the basis of their aptitude in music. For full details of the criteria please contact the school directly on 727 2064.
