Statement of Community Involvement

What is it?

The community needs to take part in plan-making for local ownership and to help with the policies that will shape the future of land uses and development in Liverpool.

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how we involve people in planning policies and on planning applications.  It includes details about who will be involved, consulted with and how and when this will be done.

The Statement of Community Involvement was adopted by the council on 18 July 2007. You can download it below.

You can request printed, Braille, large print and translations of this document by emailing development.plans@liverpool.gov.uk or call 233 3021.

You can also view a printed copy at your local library and at Planning Services reception, Millennium House, 60 Victoria Street.
