Liverpool City Council - Search and track applications

Search and track applications

You can search our planning system to get up-to-date information on the planning applications we have received and to see how your application is progressing. This system is called Planning Explorer.

There are a number of ways to search:

  • Search for a specific planning application by entering the complete case reference or planning application number.

  • Search for new applications received in the last few days or weeks.

  • Search recent planning decisions that have been determined in the last few days or weeks.

  • Search by keyword - for instance the name of a building, person or agent.

If you need help using the system please read our guide to using Planning Explorer (PDF [18.6Kb] opens in new window).  Otherwise you can contact us if you have any problems or queries.

Only applications received after 1st December 2007 will have application forms, plans and other documents that have been scanned available to view.

Comment on an application

You may comment on an existing application by taking note of it's reference number from our planning system and using our online 'comment on an application' form.

Related documents

Your search will allow you to view all related documents as they are generated, however scanned documents such as the plans and application forms may take a little longer to download and view.

Please note, we are unable to upload large documents over 10mb in size.
