Who can use the Blog?
The Liverpool Blog is for under 19 year olds only. Any misuse of the site will be taken very seriously.
All entries are pre-moderated and will be posted between 9am and 5pm Mon - Fri.
Any adults wanting to become involved with the site should
contact the Blog administrator to send all enquiries via email rather than posting on the Blog.
How do I post a Blog entry?
To write an entry to one of the Blogs you need to click the 'submit a comment’ button that appears at the top of each Blog list. This will take you to a page where you can write your text. You can give your Blog a title and make sure that you read through your entry before it is submitted, as you won’t get a second chance!
How do I view a comment?
If you look at any of the Blogs, you will notice that beneath each entry is a link saying how many comments there are. Clicking on this link will bring up a page that contains that particular Blog entry with a list of all the comments that have been posted about it.
How do I post a comment?
You post a comment in exactly the same way as you would a Blog entry. To reach the comment entry page, navigate to the Blog Subjects page and select the subject you wish to leave a comment for. Click the 'submit a comment' button on either the Blog list page or on the comments page.
Is the Blog safe?
The Blog is completely safe for you to use. All entries are pre-moderated. This means that they are read by a Liverpool City Council Administrator before they are posted live. We filter out any personal details, bad language and URLS. We also do not allow entries that are offensive or have a nasty tone. However, it is important that you familiarise yourself with the dos and don'ts of chat safety.
Why can't I see my Blog entry immediately?
All Blog entries and comments are pre-moderated. When you submit an entry, it is sent to the Administrators to be read before posting. We filter out posts that contain personal details, bad language and URLS. We also do not allow entries that are offensive or have a nasty tone. Our Administrators work Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm. Entries will not be posted outside of these hours. If you submit an entry at the weekend, you will need to wait until Monday before it goes live.
