A carer is someone who gives regular care and support to someone else and is not paid for doing so. If you are an unpaid carer, you are entitled to a carer’s assessment which gives you a chance to think about what support you need.
You are entitled to a free assessment if you are aged 18 or above and care for someone who is a Liverpool resident. If you are under 18 please see our Young carer's page.
