Liverpool Survivors Portraits by Jim Connolly
Locally-based photographer Jim Connolly has worked closely with the Association of Jewish Refugees to capture portraits of their Liverpool Members.
RESPECTacles
Liverpool Town Hall introduces RESPECTacles, a unique and thought provoking work of art composed of second hand spectacles, inspired by photographic images taken during the Holocaust. The message we wish to convey is that all individuals, particularly our young people, can play their part in genocide prevention simply by having, showing and insisting upon RESPECT for other human beings and for their differences.
Please give us your unwanted spectacles
If you would like to donate your old spectacles or donate a pair in honour of somebody, please forward them to Jean Evans, Liverpool Town Hall, High Street, Liverpool, L2 3SW, England, UK.
Echoes of Sorrow by John Guy
Liverpool based photographer has had a special interest in Auschwitz since discovering his own Jewish heritage. His large exhibition of photographs, seeks to draw the viewer into a greater understanding of the shapes and structures that make up the camp, while revealing the elements that are not usually observed.
