Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

You will be aware that the government recently announced the withdrawal of the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and the introduction of a new bursary system for some 16-19 year olds in full time education.

The council want to ensure that all young people who are eligible for a bursary receive one.

Notification of bursary allocations have just been received and Liverpool schools, colleges and training providers are working together to ensure that all eligible students receive support as early as possible in the new academic year.
