Before applying for a primary or secondary school place, you must read the relevant information booklet before submitting your application. This is to make sure you understand the admissions process and make an informed choice.

Once you have read the information booklet, you can submit your application online or use the paper preference form provided above.

Closing dates
- Primary school reception class – Monday 16 January 2012.
- Secondary school year 7 class – Monday 31 October 2011.
Please be aware that changes to the admission numbers at the following schools have been approved for September 2012:
- Anfield Community Infant School - increased from 70 to 90.
- Leamington Community Primary School - increased from 56 to 60.
- Wellesbourne Community Primary School - increased from 45 to 50.
- St Michael’s Catholic Primary School - yet to be confirmed.

In year applications
In year applications are when you apply to transfer your child from one primary school to another primary school or from one secondary school to another secondary school.

Pupil admission appeals
Unfortunately, it is not always possible to offer your child a place in your preferred school. You can find details of how to make an appeal in the case of community and controlled schools in the school admissions appeals guide for parents.
If you are appealing against a decision in an academy, trust, foundation or voluntary aided school you will need to contact the school for information on their appeals procedure.

Liverpool City Council as the admitting authority for Community and Controlled Church of England Schools is consulting on the proposed admission arrangements for September 2013.
