Making it Happen Group for Armed Forces Communities
Liverpool City Council has set up a Making it Happen Group for Armed Forces Communities to oversee the delivery of the Armed Forces Community Covenant and ensure that the welfare needs of service personnel, veterans and their families are captured in the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for Military Veterans.
The group is chaired by the Armed Forces Champion for Liverpool, Councillor Ian Francis, and Bob Blanchard, Chair of Liverpool Veterans’ Project. Key strategic partners include representatives from NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group, Liverpool Veterans Project, Armed Forces Charities and the Community Engagement Task Force. The group meets on a quarterly basis.
If you would like more information about the Making it Happen Group for Armed Forces Communities, please contact Councillor Ian Francis firstname.lastname@example.org or Jane Weller email@example.com.
