Apply for a postal vote

Anyone can request to vote by post, instead of going to a polling station, providing you appear on the electoral register.

If you do wish to vote by post, you can download the form using the link below. 

The deadline for receipt of applications for postal votes in the May 2021 elections is 5pm on Tuesday 20th April 2021. Please apply as soon as you can.

If you don't have access to a printer, contact us and we will post a form to you. 

Return your application by post to Electoral Services, Cunard Building, Water Street, Liverpool, L3 1AH or by hand to Electoral Services, Venture Place, Sir Thomas Street, Liverpool, L1 6BW. You can also scan completed applications and return by email to elections@liverpool.gov.uk.

Apply for a proxy vote

A proxy vote means that you appoint someone to vote on your behalf if you are unable to get to the polling station on Election Day, providing you appear on the electoral register.

The deadline for receipt of proxy applications for proxy votes is the May 2021 elections is 5pm on Tuesday 27th April 2021.
