May elections 2021

On Thursday 6th May 2021 four different elections take place in Liverpool. Details of each election are below. 

Safer voting

A number of measures will be put in place to help ensure polling stations are safe for everyone to use. You can also opt to vote by post.

Local elections

There will be local elections across all 30 wards on 6th May 2021. View candidate information and official notices.

Mayor of Liverpool election

The next election for the Mayor of Liverpool is on 6th May 2021. View candidate information and official notices.

PCC election

The next election for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside is on 6th May 2021. View candidate information and official notices.

Combined Authority Mayor election

Vote for the Combined Authority Mayor for the Liverpool City Region on 6th May 2021. View candidate information and official notices.

Postal and proxy voting

If you are unable to get to your polling station on election day, then you can apply for a postal or proxy vote.

Register to vote

If you are not on the register, you cannot vote. It takes five minutes to register online.
