The Liverpool Creativity Commission is an independent body established by the Mayor and tasked with looking at how the city can maximise the potential that creativity and innovation can bring to businesses and communities of Liverpool.
Chaired by Professor Phil Redmond CBE the commission will focus on how creativity can be stimulated, nurtured and fostered within schools and across all sectors of the community.
It will also look at ways in which the city can harness its traditional role as a pool of creative talent to allow anyone, young or old, to find a route to develop their full potential.
The commission will not formally begin until September 2014 and is expected to report late Spring 2015.
